Week #3 9/28 - 10/2

PLEASE CHECK BLOG DAILY FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS

 Bookmark it!  sksbondi@blogspot.com

A few changes this week!  We are adding homework!

and... our first test!

We will practice copying down homework into our assignment books and keeping our test calendar.  Your students will know the  abbreviations for books and assignments.  This year is the year we try to get them independent with their homework.  I suggest they check each item off in the assignment book as it is completed.  I will post the weekly homework on the blog as planned as a back up for parents, however occassionally assignments may change as necessary based on our in class learning.  In addition, scheduled tests may be postponed if more practice time is needed.

We continue to introduce ourselves to the  different technology applications and platforms we will use this year.  This week we hope to log into Think Central again as well as IXL and spelling city.  Many of these applications can be used for studying and practice!

Mr. Gavin and I would like to take the kids outside for lunch when possible and for some lessons.  We were hoping each child could bring in a small individual size towel or fold up blanket for sitting on.  This should be something small as it will sit next to their desk in a crate. Please do not send any large blankets or towels as we just don't have space.

Welcome to Mrs. Bondi's Third Grade Thinkers!

I'm so very excited about the 2020-2021 school year and I hope you are too!

There is going to be a lot of learning this year for both you and me!  That is so very exciting!

After spending the day in the classroom you should have heard us talk about:

"Did you know Mrs. Bondi will have a classroom hamster?"  🐹

"Mistakes are proof you are trying!"  Favorite quote!  I'm all about making mistakes!

I hope you enjoyed your first day! The first few days of school are all about getting to know each other!  Many of you know each other already, but I hardly know you yet.   Soooooo get ready to tell me all about YOU!  I'll teach you a little bit about how the classroom works each day. We will learn how to communicate and how to stay organized.  I don't want you to worry about too much the first few days.  I'll provide more information each day and we will all be on the same page!

I look forward to seeing you all Friday!
